Tower Companies Wins 2012 National Real Estate “A List” CEL Award For Service Excellence Two Years in a Row
ROCKVILLE, Md., March 11, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The Tower Companies, a family-owned, award winning real estate Development Company founded by Albert Abramson in 1947, announces today that they are the winners of CEL & Associates, Inc.’s National Commercial Real Estate 2012 Customer Service Award for Excellence, in Category IV, for their entire portfolio. This is the second year in a row that the company has been honored for service excellence.
This prestigious award is based on the results of a national survey conducted in May where clients in Tower-owned and managed properties graded everything from leasing, tenant construction, quality of maintenance, resolution response time, ease of clients reaching management, and other important service criteria.
“Receiving CEL’s award for the second year in a row is an honor that I can only accept on behalf of the outstanding team of dedicated professionals in each of our USGBC LEED® certified buildings who are servicing our clients daily,” stated Tower partner, Jeffrey S. Abramson.
“Tower professionals are trained to provide Platinum service in our 4.5 million square feet portfolio, but it’s great when clients quantify that in a national survey,” stated Tower’s Director of Property Management, Debbie Webb, CPM®, RPA and LEED® Accredited Professional.
Known as the “A List” Awards For Service Excellence, since 1997, the awards recognize companies whose management performance and commitment to the highest level and quality of service are “Best in the Industry,” an honor bestowed on real estate firms that achieve the highest levels of Tenant satisfaction. The tenants of the individual buildings complete the survey.
CEL & Associates, Inc. sets national performance benchmarks by compiling customer satisfaction survey data from more than 2,500,000 customers in thousands of buildings and communities to determine which real estate organizations and properties provide superior service to their customers.
In addition, Tower Companies was also honored at BOMA’s 2013 Winter Business Meeting in Hawaiifor completing the BOMA 7-Point Challenge, a voluntary building industry-wide program that the company undertook in September 2011. The company achieved its goal of reducing energy consumption by 30% for 2012. Metrics include use of ENERGY STAR® to benchmark energy performance and water usage, providing education to engineers, owners and operators, performing energy audits to implement low-risk and low-cost strategies, and improving operations and building maintenance systems. Tower tenants were also encouraged to help the company achieve energy reduction goals by turning off lights and computers, unplugging them when not in use, separating paper, plastics and trash in recycling bins, and using the stairs instead of elevators, among other tips.
